The United Lions Varsity Cross Country teams traveled to Armstrong High School to take on Armstrong and West Shamokin for the 2022 season opening meet. The Lions were dominant in winning all four meets (2 Boys/2Girls). United Boys beat Armstrong 16-51 and West Shamokin 16-46. United Girls beat Armstrong 22-35 and West Shamokin 17-50. More evidence of the United teams dominance were the boys had 7 out of the top 10 overall and the girls had 6 out of the top 10 overall. The Lions Boys were led by Sophomore Colton Henning who finished 1st overall for the boys with a time of 19:19. The Girls were led by Freshman Sara Gornick who finished 1st overall for the girls with a time of 24:10. Other Boy Finishers were Freshman Matthew Beaver(2nd), Junior Hudson Ludwig(3rd), Sophomore Garin Fischer(4th), Sophomore Dallas Pearce(7th), Sophomore Noah Pisarcik(8th), Freshman Hayden Hill(10th), Junior Stephen Oleksa(11th), and Freshman Eli Duncan(17th). The rest of the girl finishers were Junior Paiton Steiner(2nd), Freshman Chloe Stiles(4th), Sophomore Kenley Ingalls(8th), Sophomore Melina Fry(9th), Freshman Jada Walls(10th), and Sophomore Ava Kovalcik(18th).

Brian Ingalls
Brian Ingalls is the owner/operator of Pa Sports History. Brian was a multi sport athlete for United High School in Armagh, Pa. Shortly after graduation, Brian joined the military and spent 6 years in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Brian moved back to the United school district. Brian and his wife, Susan, have four children. All four children were/still are involved in high school sports.
Brian has spent most of his life involved with high school sports and has spent the past 20 years researching and collecting schedules, results, and stats for high school sports mainly in the District 6 area.
