The morning session of the PIAA AA State tournament is now complete. The AA wrestlers are on break until 7:30 this evening. The evening session will start with Semifinals and Consolation Round 4, and then conclude with Consolation Round 5. After the session tonight, the final matchups will be set. The AA finals are tomorrow at 2:00pm. The team race is still basically two teams, with Notre Dame-GP leading with 69 points, Saucon Valley is in second with 67 points. Notre Dame-GP has 3 wrestlers in the semifinals and 2 left in the consolations. Saucon Valley has 3 in semis and 3 in consys. The rest of the top 5 in the team race are Faith Christian Academy (38 pts), Chestnut Ridge (35 pts), and Brookville (33.5 pts). Everyone left in the tournament now are medalists. The semifinalists are guaranteed Top 6, and the consolation round wrestlers can finish no lower then 8th place. The wrestling tonight will determine which final they wrestle in tomorrow 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, or 7th/8th. The Semifinals are:

113 Lucas Fye (SW-2/Bald Eagle Area/Soph/321-9) will wrestle Jack Kazalas (SW-3/Quaker Valley/Soph/40-6). These 2 met in the AA Southwest Regional Semifinals. Fye won 5-4.
113 Landon Bainey (SW-1/West Branch/Soph/39-2) will wrestle Hunter Robison (NW-1/Saegertown/Senior/35-4). These two wrestled twice in the post season last year. In the West AA Super Regional Semifinals, Robison won 6-3. In the 2021 PIAA AA Tournament 5th place match, Robison won 3-1.
138 Easton Toth (SW-1/Forest Hills/Senior/37-6) will wrestle Anthony Evanitsky (NE-3/Wyoming Area/Fresh/44-3)
145 Ty Watson (SW-1/Penns Valley/Soph/39-1) will wrestle Cael Markle (SE-4/Saucon Valley/Senior/40-13)

Brian Ingalls
Brian Ingalls is the owner/operator of Pa Sports History. Brian was a multi sport athlete for United High School in Armagh, Pa. Shortly after graduation, Brian joined the military and spent 6 years in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Brian moved back to the United school district. Brian and his wife, Susan, have four children. All four children were/still are involved in high school sports.
Brian has spent most of his life involved with high school sports and has spent the past 20 years researching and collecting schedules, results, and stats for high school sports mainly in the District 6 area.
