United's Cross Country Teams Make History

    The United Cross Country teams completed the dual meet portion of their schedules on Tuesday afternoon at Meyersdale.  The girls team beat Meyersdale (22-37), Northern Garrett (19-40), Turkeyfoot Valley (15-50), and Hyndman (15-50) to finish the dual season 13-1.  The boys team lost to Meyersdale (30-25), and beat North Star (19-44), Northern Garrett (18-45), Hyndman (15-50), and Turkeyfoot Valley (15-63) to finish the dual season 13-2.  Both teams have the most wins and best record in United's History of the sport.  Both teams will compete in the Indiana County meet at Indiana on 10/13, the Heritage Conference meet at Marion Center on 10/20 to finish the regular season.  The District 6 Championships are 10/29 in Reedsville (Indian Valley Elementary) and the PIAA Championships are 11/5 in Hershey.

Brian Ingalls

Brian Ingalls is the owner/operator of Pa Sports History. Brian was a multi sport athlete for United High School in Armagh, Pa. Shortly after graduation, Brian joined the military and spent 6 years in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Brian moved back to the United school district. Brian and his wife, Susan, have four children. All four children were/still are involved in high school sports.

Brian has spent most of his life involved with high school sports and has spent the past 20 years researching and collecting schedules, results, and stats for high school sports mainly in the District 6 area.
